Tech Article #2: Windows 8.1


  • This month, Microsoft is set to launch the update to last years hit, Windows 8, now Windows 8.1.
  • If you haven't already upgraded to Windows 8 and would like to upgrade to 8.1, it will cost you $119.99.
  •  If you currently have windows 8, the upgrade will not cost you anything.
  • The change will apparently be more "flexible".
  • One of the main features of the update will be to assist IT mangers better secure their mobile devices on a BYOD program. 
  • Security also receives an upgrade where device encryption is now standard and remote business data removal now allows organizations to safely remove data without affecting personal information that may be on the device.
